KIDZ KLOTHING EXCHANGE

Tagging Instructions

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION CAREFULLY

There are still a few things you need to be aware of as outlined below:

1. Tags must be printed using cardstock paper!  So go ahead and order some paper before-hand or make a quick stop at the store to buy a ream.  One ream will last you many sales! Available at Wal-Mart or on Amazon!

2. NO STRAIGHT PINS ALLOWED due to the new location that is fully carpeted and can't be swept (pins fall out very easily).  Tags must be attached with tagging gun or safety pins.  Tagging guns preferred!!  Please note, if you use a tagging gun, PLEASE PLACE THE BARBS ONLY IN THE CLOTHING TAG OR IN SEAMS OF THE GARMENT!  If you place the barb directly in the clothing, it does make a hole.  Tagging guns can be found on Amazon cheap including the barbs.

3. The program will allow you to choose most details for your tag.  There is a blank line in the program – please use this line to enter a short, detailed description of the item you are tagging to help us be able to match the item up should the tag come off of the item!

4. The default setting is for the item to go half price, be sure to uncheck that option if you DO NOT want the item to go half price.

5. Clothing items should be hung on hangers with the “hook” facing the left when held in front of you.  The card should be attached to the right shoulder facing you (unless using tagging gun – then see #2 above). PLEASE DO NOT USE INFANT HANGERS FOR ANY NON-INFANT ITEMS!  THESE FALL OFF VERY EASILY!

6. There is a 100-piece limit on clothing items.  If you have more than 100 items, please contact us and let us know.  We will charge you two fees and will not require you to get a second number.  This will help us know how many spaces you will be taking up so we can control how many consignors we can take in.  There is no limit on other items with the exception of shoes (see below).

7. Jeans/pants/bloomers should be on clip hangers or secured to the hanger using safety pins or to the matching top.  All pieces need to be securely pinned together to prevent separation.

8. Toy items should be bagged securely and taped shut with the tag dropped inside the bag.  Any toy with additional small pieces should also be bagged and secured to the toy.  We prefer that you do not put a lot of tape on the tag inside the bag.  One small piece of tape to keep the tag visible is enough.  Having too much tape slows the check-out process.  Please do not tape the tags to the outside of bags.

9. On large items, please write your consignor number on a separate piece of paper or an index card and tape ONLY YOUR CONSIGNOR NUMBER onto the item.  This is in the event the tag is removed from the item, we can then locate your item and get the information from the computer.  Use strong, clear packing tape to secure your tag. (Scotch tape is not strong enough).

10.   Bedding/comforter sets should be in CLEAR bags so that the bedding is visible to the shoppers.

11. Tags may be taped inside the front cover of the book using scotch tape or painter's tape.  This prevents the tag from falling off easily.  Groups of books can be placed inside a bag with the tag dropped INSIDE the bag.

12.   Shoes should be placed in Ziploc bags when they will fit with the tag inside the bag (do not tape tags to outside of bag).  If they are too large to bag, it is best to zip-tie items together to prevent separation.  Please DO NOT BRING WORN OUT AND STAINED SHOES!  We want to offer only quality items to our buyers and do not want yard sale quality items.  MAXIMUM 15 PAIR OF SHOES!

13.   We want only the best items for our shoppers.  Therefore, Consignor warrants that the items consigned at the event are free from defect and in good working order with all parts (if applicable) secured to the item.  Therefore, all items must not have stains or defects, must not be outdated, must not be expired (if applicable), and not be included in any recall.  (http://www.cpsc.gov/en/recalls/)

14.   We provide a secure building for the sale and take every effort to safeguard your items.  However, Kidz Klothing Exchange and Rainwater Conference Center are not responsible for theft, fire, damage, or any other loss.

15.   We do NOT accept VHS movies/tapes, drop side cribs, socks, underwear, or maternity wear.  Please check expiration dates on car seats and ensure they are not out of date.  We will NOT accept any clothing larger than a size 18/20 – NO ADULT SIZES WILL BE ACCEPTED

16.   Clothing must be in size/gender order at drop off. Please be prepared to place your items on the sales floor at drop-off.  We will have a few volunteers available to provide directions.  If you are not able to place your items out, please let Martha Ann or Victoria know ahead of time if possible.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU!
